Jacque Casillas was elected to serve her hometown in 2018. She was born and raised in the historic downtown circle of Corona, attended local public schools and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and a Masters degree in Public Policy from UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
Jacque has dedicated her career to serving marginalized communities earning a reputation as an effective and collaborative leader. She got her start as a community organizer working with underrepresented communities to increase civic engagement. Since then, Jacque has led countywide Latino voter registration efforts, collaborated to establish screening and treatment for low-income mothers suffering from postpartum depression, and has spearheaded countless initiatives to ensure access to high-quality, non-judgmental reproductive health care regardless of income or immigration status.
Jacque is passionate about local governance. Since taking office, she has led the initiative reopening Griffin Park, she established open office hours, led the effort to actively advocate and engage in state legislation, developed the first-ever City Council Internship Program, and spearheaded the formation of an ad-hoc committee to establish term limits.

- I-Ren Committee Member on the Western Riverside Council of Governments
- Member of the CNUSD-Corona Joint Schools Committee
- Member of the McKinley Grade Separation ad hoc committee
- Member of the City Council Term Limit ad hoc committee
Aside from policy, Jacque enjoys a good pun, group board games, and exploring local trails with her husband Zach, daughter Eleanor, and black Labrador Retriever Xiao Mei.
